Pooneh is an experienced Certified Yoga Alliance Instructor, with advanced training in yoga specializing in B.K.S. Iyengar principles. Pooneh offers students a variety of classes including: Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Restorative, Prenatal and Children’s yoga & mindfulness classes. Having worked with many people at differing levels of yoga training, Pooneh is able to customize each lesson to fit the diverse needs of her students. Pooneh has a background in Classical Ballet as well as Fitness & Aerobic Training which led her to Yoga many years ago in New York, but it wasn’t until she got to Asia when she fell in love with Yoga and all its teachings. She practiced yoga in Bali and Singapore for many years and continued teaching and practicing in Dubai, London, Miami, Maryland, DC, NYC, Montauk and many other locations around the world. Yoga has brought Pooneh tremendous joy and healing physicality & emotionally and she wants to share that experience with her students. Pooneh truly enjoys inspiring others to improve their wellness and commit to long-term spiritual, health, nutrition and fitness goals. Our mission at Yoga By Pooneh is to give back to the communities in which we are a part of around the world, and in pursuit of that mission we organize free yoga lessons for the Refugees, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, & Active Duty Members.
Nicole Ré has been teaching Yoga, nutrition/ wellness and meditation in NYC and the Hamptons for the past 8 years. She is on the board of advisers for United We Om serving her community through trauma sensitive Yoga and mindfulness. She has taught at several studios on the East End and for resorts as well. Sharing her knowledge of Yoga for corporate events has been a joy for Nicole as an advocate for work and wellness balance is a passion. Nicole has also taught Ayurvedic wellness with her community. Teaching clients to implement a deeper understanding of the self and nourishment through the doshas, kitchen provisions and balance. Nicole strives to give the gift of the practice And the peace it brings to all she is blessed to teach.
Endowing her yoga classes with the same individual attention as she did in her former years as a special education teacher, Karen’s personal commitment is to bring out the Beauty, Heart, and Spirit in every student. She makes yoga user-friendly—with her, playfulness, purity of heart, and a lightness and simplicity deeply rooted in her extensive study of Yoga as a Living Practice of Energy Movement through the Chakra System.
In addition to Karen’s eternal quest of accessing yoga as an integrative Mind/Body/Spiritual Practice, she is also trained in Thai Yoga Massage, Reiki, Polarity, sound healing and is an Interfaith Minister.
Linda is an experience yoga instructor, working with adults and children in various public schools. She is certified through Kripalu Yoga Teacher Association, Yoga Ed, and completed her 200 hour advanced yoga training with Allan Finger, founder of Yoga Zone in New York. Linda has a unique, gentle way of creating an alignment based Vinyasa flow that is both energizing and inspiring. Linda strives to help others nurture body, mind and soul by releasing tension and stress with the hope that one step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
